Linda Hall Tenhundfeld - "I Believe"
September 1, 2007 – November 9, 2007 (Third Floor Gallery)
Each work in "I Believe" reflected a belief in a different element of life such as a mother's love, God's will, or the earth's grandeur.
Linda, Mobile resident and former gallery owner, is currently Director of the Cathedral
Square Gallery in downtown Mobile. Her works are in numerous private collections.
As an abstract expressionist, she says "I am most influenced by the expressionist
artists of the late 1940's. These artists include Pollock, DeKooning, Rothko, Wolf
Khan, and Chagall. Their simplified natural shapes and inner artistic vision produced
works teetering between reality and fantasy. Each piece that I paint is a joy to me,
fun to paint, and expresses a spiritual and emotional action of my thoughts."
