Upcoming Events
- The Southeastern Coastal and Atmospheric Processes Symposium (SeCAPS) will be on April 6-7, 2024 in the Student Center Ballroom at the University of South Alabama!
- Registration for SeCAPS is open! Register here!
- Deadline for SeCAPS Registration: March 20, 2024 at 11:59 CDT
- Abstract submissions are also now open! If you are interested in presenting at the
conference (oral/poster), please submit your abstracts to secaps@southalabama.edu
- Deadline for Abstract Submissions: March 13, 2024 at 11:59 CDT
T-Shirt Designs
- If anyone has any T-shirt design recommendations for either Met Club or SeCAPS, please feel free to share them with them with the club or any of the officers!
Next Meeting
- The 3rd Meteorology Club Meeting date will be on Tuesday, March 12th.
- Location: The Earth and Life Science Building (ELSB), room 0119
- Meteorology Club Meetings will be held routinely once a month on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. throughout the spring semester.
Constitution
Active memberships
- Pay $20 dues for the year by 2nd meeting
- Students must meet a total of 20 points for the year with a minimum of 8 for the fall/spring
semesters
- Meteorology Club Meetings: 2 points
- Social Activities: 1 points
- Weather Wednesdays: 2 points
- Trips to a Meteorology facility (NWS/WKRG) and learn about the industry
- Have someone come in (in person or via Zoom) to talk about their job in the industry
- Fundraisers: 3 points
- Recruitment: 1-2 points
