This program is open to all physicians and healthcare professionals and will provide comprehensive reviews and updates on important neurologic topics.
Statement of Purpose
This program provides and update on common and important inpatient and outpatient neurological conditions, and address clinic competencies of knowledge, performance, and improving patient outcomes.
Target Audience
This program is appropriate for all healthcare professionals including primary care providers and neurologists who encounter common neurological conditions and wish to update their knowledge of their molecular pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment.
Objectives
- Review the diagnosis and management of neuropathic pain
- Review the pearls and pitfalls of neuropathic pain
- Identify comprehensive care within ALS
- Review updated treatment strategies for common migraine
- Recognize when to start blood thinning medications after stroke
- Describe the evolving landscape of Alzheimer’s disease
- Review autonomic evaluation pearls including POTS
- Review the management of subclinical status epilepticus
- Review updated criteria for diagnosing Multiple Sclerosis
- Apply updated testing and management of Autoimmune Encephalitis
- Evaluate manage for challenging neurological cases.
- Identify the clinical presentation and management of common CNS infections
- Apply hands on review of EEG and gait disorders.
- Recognize how neurocritical care improves patient outcomes
- Review the inpatient management of Parkinson’s disease

- Research projects and clinical cases alike are encouraged. Some clinical cases or series will be selected for oral presentations. Prizes will be awarded.
