Office of Institutional Effectiveness

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness builds frameworks that support the University of South Alabama’s growth and advancement of its mission while ensuring compliance with accreditors and the expectations of other regulatory agencies. We provide students, staff, administrators, and leaders with the information, guidance, and tools needed to improve educational outcomes, make better decisions, and understand our community’s many voices. 

OIE staff value our service-orientation, discretion, integrity, and impartiality; we strive to collaborate across the University and empower others to accomplish their goals.

A principal responsibility of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) is to ensure that the University of South Alabama meets expectations to maintain its accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).  As part of that responsibility, OIE focuses its resources on:
