Small Group Instructional Feedback (SGIF) is a formative mid-course check-in process for gathering information from students on their learning experience.

A Faculty Learning Community (FLC) is a cross-disciplinary, small group of scholars interested in investigating and sharing resources on a particular theme.

New Faculty

The ILC welcomes new faculty to South Alabama and offers helpful resources for your classroom and beyond.

ILC Graduate Lab

The Graduate Lab is a unit within the ILC consisting of instructional design graduate students who are well versed in many avenues to assist in teaching and learning.

This certificate includes two courses. Fundamentals in Teaching (FIT1): Science of Learning, and Fundamentals in Teaching (FIT2): Course Design and Assessment

New Faculty Scholars (NFS)

New Faculty Scholars is a year-long program that assists South’s newest faculty by providing support for scholarly achievement, innovative teaching, and outstanding public engagement and service.

MéPLE Mentoring

Sponsored by the ILC and the Faculty Senate Mentoring Committee, this mentoring program offers an inclusive, supportive network for faculty of various disciplines, ranks, and experience.
